The reason petrol/diesel costing more/same price

the reason petrol/diesel costing more/same price is bcoz central govt not passing/reducing the price due to multiple factors. 1) govt has to strengthen current account deficit( a country's import exceeds export, india imports 80% of oil) as previous govt left in a very very bad situation 2) rupee vs dollar, in feb 2015 rupee was trading at 62/1$ whereas in Jan2016 it's at 67 ( this is why we see meager reduction in price of petrol/ diesel) 3) govt subsidies cooking gas cylinders for every household connection (the amount now gets deposited to their bank accounts directly).
